We tap into community knowledge through key partnerships to understand how to meet each local community’s unique and evolving needs. Our efforts are powered by the communities we serve and focus on addressing holistic needs beyond the crisis at hand.
One way we empower disaster-stricken communities is through cash and voucher assistance. For people who have lost everything – like those impacted by the Los Angeles fires – cash assistance empowers them to purchase what they need, when they need it. Whether it’s buying gas, groceries, or new school supplies, they have the dignity of choice. After working in disaster areas around the world, CORE knows firsthand that this service is the most effective way to get people back on their feet after crisis.

Field Stories.
Air raid sirens sound in Berezanka daily and the danger for the 20,0000 residents in the area often lasts for hours. CORE worked with local authorities to repair a local hospital air raid shelter to provide safety and security to residents.
One year after Hurricane Helene, CORE is still on the ground supporting families who lost everything to the devastating storm.
On September 3, 2025, CORE had the honor of partnering with 4Kinship to help put on the Good Medicine event at Gorman Hall in Window Rock, the capital of the Navajo Nation.
