Our work in Puerto Rico.

CORE began working in Puerto Rico in 2017 to address the immediate needs of impacted communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. As the island was hit hard again in 2021 by COVID-19, CORE supported equitable distribution of the vaccine and mobilized resources to reach vulnerable populations. Then, in September 2022, when 1.5 million people lost electricity across the island during Hurricane Fiona, leaving a third of the population without access to potable water, CORE was there to help.
