“For 15 years, CORE has stood alongside communities in their most challenging moments—from Haiti to Ukraine, from COVID-19 to wildfires—because we believe that when crisis strikes, organized, sustained support saves lives,” said Ann Lee, CEO & Co-Founder of CORE. “This anniversary concert represents the power of collective action and resiliency, and the extraordinary generosity of artists who understand that music can unite us across borders and inspire meaningful change. We’re deeply grateful to each performer for reminding us that when we come together, we can create lasting change for those who need it most.”

Emceed by E! News Host Justin Sylvester, the concert created a vibrant and memorable experience for both viewers and an impressive guest list that included Casey Affleck, Caylee Cowan, Rep. Eric Swalwell and Soleil Moon Frye at the private in-person event. Sean Penn delivered a heartfelt message of hope and resilience, thanking the crowd for their generous support of CORE’s ongoing mission to directly reach and respond to the most vulnerable communities in crisis. Following the livestream concert, attendees were treated to an intimate, off-the-cuff jam session featuring Remi Wolf and Medium Build’s rendition of “Harvest Moon,” which drew Win Butler and Régine Chassagne to join in on drums and tambourine. Saint Motel, who had closed out the earlier show with their hit “My Type,” returned to perform and kept the celebration going late into the night.

The evening was full of surprises, including an exciting announcement: Jaded artist REI AMI has launched a CharityBuzz auction to raise additional donations for CORE. From the Los Angeles wildfires to Hurricane Melissa, CORE continues to be on the frontlines delivering vital aid for underserved and marginalized communities across the U.S. and around the world. The program spotlighted the organization’s 15 years of global impact – from its founding in the wake of the 2010 Haiti earthquake and countless natural disaster relief efforts in the Caribbean and coastal U.S. to its unparalleled global COVID-19 pandemic response.

The money raised supports current and future initiatives, enabling CORE to quickly mobilize resources for communities in crisis. The funds support ongoing humanitarian responses in conflict zones such as Ukraine, Sudan and Syria; disaster relief and recovery work in Jamaica, North Carolina, Georgia, Alaska and California, where the organization is activating a multi-year recovery plan from the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
