PRESS RELEASE
The Ukrainian Ministry of Economy Launches A Grant Program For Young Entrepreneur Training
July 11, 2025, Rome (Italy)—Young people who have received a grant to develop their own business from the state have the opportunity to participate in financial vocational training.
The international humanitarian organization CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) will launch finance educational programs aimed at improving the professional skills of young entrepreneurs in Ukraine. The program was conceived and signed during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 with the participation of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, CORE, and the joint-stock company “State Savings Bank of Ukraine.”
Entrepreneurs will choose certified training programs, courses, or workshops designed to enhance their professional skills and expertise.
To become a candidate for the program, young entrepreneurs must complete a survey and submit an application. Mandatory criteria for participation in the program:
As part of the program, participants will receive payment for future training or reimbursement for training they have already completed. With this, CORE aims to support young Ukrainian entrepreneurs, primarily Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and victims of the armed aggression against Ukraine.
“Young entrepreneurs are the future of the country’s economy. They are full of enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to start their own business. Working under the uncertainties of war, power, and supply disruptions, Ukrainian youth not only continue to conduct business but also seek opportunities for development. Lack of professional skills and knowledge is an obstacle to this development. That is why CORE has initiated a program to support young entrepreneurs by covering the costs of their professional training. We are confident that this is not just an aid, but an investment in the development of the Ukrainian economy,” emphasizes Liana Khorovytska, Executive Director of CORE Ukraine.
“We are grateful to our partners from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and CORE for involving Oschad in this important social initiative. The educational component of business support is important to us, and we always pay great attention to it. This is especially critical for young entrepreneurs who have already reached a certain level of development of their companies and received a grant, but still need advice from more experienced colleagues and mentors. Among other things, such initiatives are important to motivate young people to stay in Ukraine and take responsibility for its future,” said Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, Oschadbank Management Board responsible for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.
“Today, a new generation of entrepreneurs is emerging in Ukraine—proactive, creative, ambitious. And at the same time, they are determined, persistent, and brave. They are ready to invest their energy, talent, and capital in their own business. In a country at war, in the face of constant challenges that require immediate response and extraordinary resilience. These young people consciously choose to live, work, create, and win in Ukraine. We, as a state, provide them with maximum support: through grant programs for starting and scaling a business, through educational and mentoring projects that help young entrepreneurs unleash their potential and confidently pursue their goals. Thanks to our partners, today, we are opening up another opportunity for them, providing tools for further professional growth and reaching a new level. I am convinced that this will be another powerful step not only towards their personal success, but also towards the development of the country’s economy,” said Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna.
The program is funded by the international humanitarian organization CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) in Ukraine and supported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the joint stock company “State Savings Bank of Ukraine.”
