CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) envisions a more equitable world in which underserved communities are prepared and can effectively respond to crisis from within. We are so grateful to all of our supporters who gathered together on March 5, 2024 for CORE’s Pre-Oscars Benefit in Los Angeles, raising $1.4 million to support vulnerable families impacted by disasters around the world. A special thank you to our premier sponsor Dodge, The Hollywood Reporter and all of our sponsors for their generous support of our mission.

ABOUT CORE

Founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee, CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) was initially established as J/P HRO in response to the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Since then, our humanitarian organization has scaled exponentially to meet the growing needs of vulnerable communities worldwide. With a focus on equity, CORE provides humanitarian support globally including in Haiti, Ukraine, Sudan, Pakistan and right here in the US. We’ve worked on five continents responding to natural disasters, conflict, food insecurity, disease outbreaks, climate change, and public health emergencies. Powered by local staff, our programs focus on Emergency Response & Preparedness; Addressing Climate Change; and Health Access. Community-building is our north star and is at the heart of everything we do.
